A Different Approach To Skin Care
Like many of you, I’m a busy, working mom who chooses to balance work, motherhood, and everything else life throws at me. As rewarding as it is to wear all the different hats at any given time of the day, I’m sure you can relate when I say 24 hours of the day is barely enough. After having Maya, my daughter, is when I realized taking an hour to get ready in the morning and taking time for myself to wind-down in the evening were things in the past. That also meant the time I spent on my 5-8 step skincare regiment was no longer practical.
Needing a simple skincare regimen was the least of my worries. Though I had great skin growing up, as I got older, I suffered from adult acne, skin discoloration, and some signs of aging. Skin care is something I always invested in because I was determined to take my skin back to what it was before. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on skincare from drug store brands to luxury skincare products that came highly recommended. One of the most frustrating parts of the process was I couldn’t find a single product line that offered a comprehensive solution to my common skin concerns. They all offered different regiments, each with multiple steps. However, it wasn’t practical to use nor affordable to purchase multiple serums, cleansers, and moisturizers each targeting a different skin condition. So, I had to choose one skin concern to resolve at a time. I knew I wasn’t alone, and it was time to look at skin care differently.

When I decided to start a company of my own, I instantly knew a problem that impacts millions of women and men around the world and one that needed a solution. The skincare industry is more focused on creating individual products that target different symptoms giving consumers the illusion that they need a complex regimen to address their skin needs when what women like me needed was a simpler solution to our common skin concerns that’s affordable and less time consuming.
It was no easy task to find a formulator and a contract manufacturer that was willing to look at skin care differently. I was told by many that clean, natural ingredients and efficiency cannot coexist, but I refused to believe that. Growing up in Sri Lanka, I was no stranger to using wholesome natural ingredients on my skin and in my daily diet. I was determined to create a simple, clean and effective regimen that improves the overall health and wellness of the skin using natural ingredients.
